o what can I tell you about this series I haven’t yet? The way keeps expanding. We learn more about the League of Tripoli (the alternate fascists in the Mediterranean). And more about that maniac Kurokawa (the Japanese cruiser captain that chased USS Walker through the portal and into this crazy world). And all the crazy crap that’s been going on.
The Japanese are playing for time. The Grik are expanding towards another mega invasion fleet. The League is up to no good. The Republic of Free People in South Africa finally got their thumbs out of their asses and got moving. And the evil Doms seem to have unlimited manpower. Oh, and the Japs have Mrs. Reddy (the hero’s wife) as a captive. Can it get any worse?
I can’t say much in that I don’t want to spoil it if any of you are following me down this long path – I think personally I’m suffering from series fatigue. But I’m almost there.
And I’ll say this – a major villain dies in this one, so that’s a relief – finally we get long-delayed vengeance. But with all the books I’ve been through, it’s growing increasingly hard to not give spoilers and yet have something to talk about.
I’ll read the next one with a thought on what I can say about it that doesn’t cover too much.
More to come.Three more in the series.
