A couple of months ago, I changed the setting for registration, allowing people to pretty much autoregister themselves. It was not a big thing.

Been seeing people join the site since then. Didn’t really pay it any attention. After all, they were registered now, right?

Wrong.

Last night while moving columns about, I happened to duck into the user lists and saw about 30 people who’d registered and not been “approved”. I’m not sure if that meant you couldn’t post or get it easy or whatever. I didn’t know I’d dorked it up. But that’s what you get from a distracted webmaster who doesn’t know his webtools very well.

I’ve gone through and approved everyone and hope nobody got put out. Apologies again.

(You know, I had an agent reject a book because my old 2005 site crashed when she accessed it with an apple. God knows what movie deals this might have quashed!)
