I’ve gone through all my comics and categorized them. Found a bookshop that will take them off my hands so I need to send them the list in their format. This includes the condition of the comics in their format. So I cracked open the boxes and got to work…

I’m not sure in my self-ratings. What’s fine to me might not be to those perfect-condition boxed, bagged and never read boyos. But I’m doing my best to account for what I’ve got under their guidelines.

All I can tell you is that there are five boxes packed with comics and I’ve been critically appraising them until my eyes have crossed. Ninety-eight listings, some of them grouping dozens (if not hundreds) of issues. And all this with two cats busting into the room and my sofa-ridden wife (with her surgically healing foot) and you’ve got pure pandemonium.

And I gotta confess – outside of The Spirit and Cerebus (and American Flagg), my youth was misspent.
