Grinding the worm (DOG EAR)

Grinding the worm (DOG EAR)

What’s that old factoid – if you teach a worm how to do something, grind it up, then feed it to other worms, they’ll know how to do it. Which leads to the primary question – like, just what can you teach a worm to do? Really, the options are limited.

Regardless, I started working along a disciplined timetable for writing information, insights, fears and whatnot. I didn’t want to post them just any-old–when since only the most dedicated of fans will check every day for updates (I’ve dropped reading certain webcomics for just this reason). It comes down to the fact that I update Thursday every week, giving some thought into writing, reading, the field, publishing, and everything. Anything goes.

I had my doubts that I could do this, way back in March of ’12, but I have. Every week, something comes up worthy of comment. I’m hoping that writers might find it interesting and/or enlightening, or at least supporting (because we certainly need all the support we can get).

However, the collection has gotten too big. I went in the other day, looking for something, and had to backtrack page after page to find it. This is no way to run a railroad, so I spent part of the weekend creating this index (similar to my book review index). Now, if you need to look back to find an old favorite piece, look right here. The link to this is on the front page, highlighted in YELLOW, for easy reference. I’ll update the list with each new entry.

Otherwise, I’ll keep plugging these things out. Who knows; perhaps another writer facing dispair will find comfort in them (or maybe I’ll be discovered and these will be reprinted for BIG, BIG BUCKS*).

Anyway, that’s the lot of them.
